This recording has a lot of "power" as illustrated in the band's name.
They are very strong instrumentally with powerful lead breaks on guitar,
banjo, fiddle and mandolin. Their singing also exhibits the power of the group
with featured lead vocalist Bruce Stiltner displaying a slight tendency
towards a folk/country style. Bruce sings lead on nine songs with Eric Miglin
singing lead on one. The harmony singing is superb with Eric, Jason Mowery and
Doug Eyink providing the additional voices.

This is a most enjoyable recording with some excellent songs written by
members of the group. The Bluegrass Power Company is not afraid to
"stick-their-neck-out" and try some progressive ideas. After all when
Bill Monroe fathered bluegrass music, he had to be progressive and
innovative in order to get recognition for his efforts.
